ITEMS OF INTEREST THIS WEEK
Native Ministry Gathering

On Saturday, September 3, 2016, everyone is invited to attend a forum from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Trinity Cathedral (Phoenix) that will include a review of the diocesan history with Native American ministry, reports from those currently engaged in Native American ministry, a report from our Companion Diocese, a review of Native American ministry in TEC, and an opportunity to work with our Canon for Native American Ministry, The Rev. Debbie Royals, in establishing a vision and direction for Native American ministry going forward. In the context of commemorating the feast of David Pendleton Oakerhater, Cheyenne Missionary, this gathering will ask how we are responding to the call to serve God and the church through Native American Ministry. Register here.

Jesus Movement Bumper Stickers
Bumper stickers featuring the words of The Most Rev. Michael B. Curry, 27th Presiding Bishop of The Episcopal Church, are now available from Forward Movement. “We are the Episcopal branch of the Jesus Movement!” The stickers are also available in Spanish.

Flooding Devastates the Gulf Coast
Bishop Smith asks that you keep the first responders, residents, and churches in the Gulf Coast area in your prayers. More than 40,000 homes have been been affected by the recent flooding. To make a donation to the Episcopal Relief and Development U.S. Disaster Response Fund, use this link. Bulletin inserts in both English and Spanish are also available.
