ITEMS OF INTEREST THIS WEEK

It’s Not About the Money…

Topics will include Building Relationships = Increased Giving; How to Talk About Money & Pledges; Planned Giving: The Most Overlooked Aspect of Congregational Stewardship. The workshop is offered at no charge; lunch will be provided by free will offering. To register, call (480) 986-1145 and ask for Linda.

New “Spirituality in the Second Half of Life” Ministry
Bishop Smith announced a new ministry in the Spring 2016 issue of the AZ Episcopalian identified as “Elder Spirituality Ministry,” and co-led by The Rev. Ann Johnson and Dr. Linda Williams. In their initial “listening” visits to parishes, they heard that a ministry that includes adults pre-retirement and beyond interested in enhancing their spiritual journey is better identified with “second half of life” and “sages,” rather than “elders.” Plans are developing for officially rolling out this ministry at individual parishes in the Fall. Learn more on the new webpage.
