Bringing church to the people: ashes, ashes everywhere
Increasingly, there is “Ashes to Go,” ‘Smudge and Run,” “Drive-through Ashes,” “Ashes on the Fly,” and now, “Lent in a Bag,” as all sorts of churches—Episcopal, Lutheran, Methodist—are moving the centuries-old Ash Wednesday observance beyond church walls.
