AFFIRMING IMMIGRATION AND OFFERING SANCTUARY

 

In the past week, there has been much reaction to the Executive Order to limit immigration. I join with many of you who find this approach out of step both with our Christian ethic and our American value of offering liberty to those “huddled masses yearning to be free.” Unless you are a Native American, we are all immigrants. I also join with those of our congregations that have pledged solidarity with those affected.
