PARENTING IN THE TIME OF COVID
Every morning at 8:00 a.m., my son’s assignments for the day become available. My job is to go through and make a list of the day’s work, highlighting which platform each assignment is on (Google Classroom, Seesaw, Zoom, various math websites, the school website, or plain old email). I hand off the list to him and to his dad or his caregiver, and then I get to work. His dad is in charge of English; I’m in charge of math; and we tag team to make sure that the rest of the work is actually done and submitted (there’s always some last click of a button without which the whole assignment is moot).

Featured Online Sunday Services
During the time our churches are closed, we will feature a Sunday service in English and in Spanish from our churches around the diocese, so that everyone will always be able to find an online service. Here are this week’s services: St. Luke’s (Prescott) at 10:00 a.m. (English) and St. Andrew’s (Spanish) at 12:00 p.m. (Spanish). NOTE: If the service is livestreamed on Facebook, no account is needed to watch.

The Way of Love with Presiding Bishop Curry Podcast
[ENS] Season 3 of The Episcopal Church’s podcast The Way of Love with Bishop Michael Curry, is now available. These weekly conversations, featuring Bishop Curry, podcast host Sandy Milien, and a variety of guests, center on ways to live a life committed to living the way of God’s unconditional, unselfish, sacrificial and redemptive love. Rogation Sunday
From our Canon for Creation Care, The Rev. Canon Pam Hyde: Rogation Sunday is May 17th! Rogation Days were traditionally a time in England when the fields were blessed at planting. The vicar “beat the bounds” of the parish, processing around the fields reciting psalms and the litany. Here in The Episcopal Church, they have come to be associated with rural life, agriculture, commerce and the care of Creation. Rogation Days this year are May 18, 19 and 20, making May 17th Rogation Sunday — a day when we give thanks for this good Earth and its bounty, and pray that we may safeguard it for future generations.

NEWS AROUND THE DIOCESE
Managing Anxiety in a Time of Global Trauma Webinar
Many health experts have described the COVID pandemic as a time of global trauma. Everyone is invited to join St. Barnabas on the Desert (Scottsdale) parishioner Ellie Izzo, a mental health specialist, in a special online webinar next Thursday, May 14 at 1:00 p.m. (Arizona time). Registration is required.

COVID-19 (CORONAVIRUS)
Resources in Arizona
During this crisis, Bishop Reddall envisions the Diocesan Office being a clearing house for questions and a source of connection for congregations in need. To that end, the Diocese has set up a resource page on our website to include links for prayer, reliable information about COVID-19, and support for clergy and lay mental health.
