Yesterday (November 1) was All Saints Day, when, since the earliest days of the church we remember the innerable “superheros and superheroines” of our history. Today (November 2) is All Souls Day when the celebration is more intimate and local as we remember all the faithful departed. This includes our family members, friends, and mentor.

Are you approaching retirement, or already retired, and interested in further awakening your spiritual journey and exploring opportunities for adding new meaning and purpose to your life? Join us with special guest Fr. Richard Rohr on Saturday, January 19 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for a day of insight and contemplative reflection on spiritual needs and interests of persons transitioning into and living out their second half of life. Care givers and family members facing the spiritual aspects of end-of-life decisions and planning will also benefit from attending. Lunch will be provided with the day’s event. Sixth Annual Arts & Craft Show
Make plans to come and enjoy the show on Friday, November 16 from 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. or Saturday, November 17 from 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. at Church of the Advent (Sun City West). The first 100 visitors, on each day, will receive a grocery tote bag along with some other items. It is their way of saying “thank you” for coming. They are happy to announce the addition of several new vendors this year, as well as returning favorites. This event makes a wonderful opportunity to pick out that perfect Christmas gift for a loved one, or that just right item for your home!
