How do we communicate with someone of a different generation, race or culture?

Do we really listen and try to understand what they are saying?

This year’s Diocesan Men’s Retreat will provide an opportunity for you to listen to and learn from men of different generations, races, and cultures as they share how God is working in their lives, and what God is calling them to do in their ministries, and in their lives.

Our keynote speaker, The Rev. Canon Gil Stafford, Canon Theologian, will challenge each of us as we work together to find ways to communicate across generations, races and cultures.

Dear Colleagues in Ministry,

I recommend to you and your congregation, this year's diocesan Men's Ministry Retreat:
"Living into the Word, the Power of Conversation" to be held at Chapel Rock, November 20-22, 2015.

This year's time together will provide attendees with an opportunity to spend some quality time with young and not-so-young men from our congregations and universities. I urge all of our congregations to seek parishioners, young and old, and encourage them to sign up for this unique opportunity to bridge the "Generation Gap" and bring their experiences back to your congregations.

The retreat will provide an opportunity for men to listen and learn from different generations, races, and cultures. Attendees can share how God is working in their lives and what He is calling them to do in their ministries.

The Men's Ministry steering committee has been working for almost a year to create a format that we believe will respect the differences between age groups, ethnicities, and cultural values. The keynote speaker will be The Rev. Canon Gil Stafford, Canon Theologian and Assistant at St. Peter's in Litchfield Park.
