REMINDER

Campership Sunday is March 8th, 2026

Dear Friends in Christ,

It’s almost time for one of the most joyful Sundays of the year — Campership Sunday!

Campership Sunday, formerly known as Chapel Rock Sunday, is a day in which we ask each church and congregation members to support the Chapel Rock Campership Fund for the benefit of our children and youth. Through these donations, we live out our shared promise that no child will be turned away because of financial circumstances.

That commitment isn’t just a policy — it’s a reflection of who we are.

Sunday, March 8th, 2026, has been designated as Campership Sunday this year, and we are so grateful for your partnership in making it meaningful within your congregation.

To help spread the word about Summer Camp at Chapel Rock, we’ve created this short video you can share with your community.

Also, we’ve created a media packet for Campership Sunday. The packet includes a letter from Deanna Fair, Director of Camp Ministries, graphics, and sample text for social media and bulletin inserts.

We hope that by sharing the video and materials with you, the story of summer camp at Chapel Rock can be spread far and wide.

Summer Camp at Chapel Rock is filled with hiking trails and swimming, arts and crafts tables covered in creativity, campfire songs echoing under the stars, and friendships that last long after the final blessing. It’s a place of laughter and growth, of trying new things and discovering courage you didn’t know you had. It’s where young people experience joyful play, deep belonging, and meaningful spiritual formation — all wrapped into one unforgettable week.

More than half of our campers each summer receive support from the Campership Fund. Your generosity removes financial barriers and opens the door for transformative experiences — moments of confidence, faith, friendship, and peace that shape young lives in lasting ways.

Because of you, Chapel Rock becomes a sanctuary for all.

For those who wish to give through your congregation, we ask that members make checks payable to your church. When your collection is complete, please send one check to Chapel Rock for the total amount. We will gladly send a collective letter of thanks to celebrate your congregation’s participation.

For those who wish to donate online, they can do so at azdiocese.org/campership

If you are new to the diocese or have any questions about how best to organize Campership Sunday, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re happy to help in any way we can.

Thank you for championing this ministry and for helping ensure that every camper — regardless of financial situation — can experience the joy, growth, and community of Chapel Rock.
