Hello Sierra Vista!!

On Thursday, August 17, 2017, the Salvation Army Community Center Board of Directors will be hosting a Meet and Greet Open House for Captains Carlos and Jill Souza.  The Souza’s have replaced Majors Bob and Karen Schmig, who oversaw the Sierra Vista Corps for the past 12 years.

Last November, the new 10,000 square foot Salvation Army Community Center opened its doors, providing a church sanctuary, capable of seating 70 parishioners, a commercial kitchen and full dining room, capable of seating 130 people.  The Community Center currently serves over 100 free hot lunch meals, five days per week to low-income families, military veterans, homeless men and women, people with disabilities, senior citizens and those who are re-entering society.  Additionally, we host a community-wide Thanksgiving Dinner, the Christmas Angel Tree program, Vacation Bible School, a Women’s Ministry, a Men’s Ministry and Bible Study.  We also offer emergency food boxes, personal hygiene kits, clothing vouchers and utility assistance for those in need.

Please come to the Salvation Army Meet and Greet Community OPEN HOUSE for Captains Carlos and Jill Souza.  (See invitation below)

Also, IF you are a Facebooker or e-mailer, would you please send out the invitation (below) to everyone you know in Sierra Vista.

We NEED all the support, exposure and attendance we can get for the new facility and our new Captains.
