“2026 MLK 10 DAYS OF SERVICE AND HOLIDAY CELEBRATION”
PURPOSE: “To honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy by uniting our diverse community through meaningful cultural, educational, and service activities that reflect his principles and support ongoing programs and community empowerment.”
VISION STATEMENT: “To build a Beloved Community rooted in justice, equality, and service — uniting generations in collective action that empowers, educates, and inspires lasting change.”
THEME: “One Dream, One Community”
This January, our community comes together for the 2026 MLK 10 Days of Service and Holiday Celebration— a community-wide tribute honoring the life, legacy, and vision of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
This 10-day observance brings together partners from across our region — the Greater Huachuca Area Branch NAACP, Sierra Vista Mission Project, Interdenominational Christian Ministries, the Southwest Association of the Buffalo Soldiers, Sierra Vista African American Community Coalition, and a host of local businesses and faith-based organizations — all working together to build what Dr. King called the Beloved Community.”
This year’s MLK events include our Parkway Cleanup, Spoken Word Night, History Event, Community Health & Wellness Fair, a Community Worship Service, and more — with each day dedicated to unity, service, and community empowerment.
The celebration culminates on Monday, January 19th, with the MLK Unity March followed by the MLK Community Program at Veterans Memorial Park, Sierra Vista, AZ.
“Join us. Walk with us. Serve with us. ”
