A SPECIAL INVITATION

The Rev. Erika von Haaren
Chair, Commission on Ministry

Are you listening for what God is doing in your life? Is it clear? Is it murky? Are you feeling called to leadership in the church…but you’re not sure what that looks like yet? You’re in luck! The Commission on Ministry’s Day of Ministry Discernment (DMD) (formerly known as the Day of Information) is coming up and you are invited.

Pledge to Care for Creation

[TEC] Episcopalians and friends concerned about all of God’s creation are joining Presiding Bishop Michael Curry in pledging to take action to protect and renew God’s world and all who call it home. The goal is to gather at least 1,000 pledges with concrete, personal commitments by Earth Day, April 22. Read more. Note: Bishop Reddall joined her fellow bishops from Province VIII to take the challenge. See their video.
Thank you!
Lisa Derrick and The Rev. David Hedges, co-chairs of the Transition Committee, would like to thank all who contributed to make Bishop Reddall’s Consecration Service the fabulous event it was! Whether you sang, served at a Communion station, brought cookies, welcomed attendees, or did one of the hundreds of other tasks that day, the event wouldn’t have gone as well as it did without the efforts of everyone. THANK YOU!

Arizona Episcopalian Magazine

This issue has all the details about Summer Camps at Chapel Rock, pictures from the Consecration Service, as well as many other great things going on around the Diocese. Values Talk
If you were asked to name the “top 5” Jewish values, what would you say? Tikkun olam? Education? Tzedakah? Community? What if you were Christian? What would your “top 5” be? Are Jewish and Christian values essentially the same, or are they different? On Sunday, April 7 at 10:45 a.m. at Church of the Apostles (Oro Valley), Rabbi Helen Cohn of Congregation M’kor Hayim and The Rev. Debra Asis of Church of the Apostles will continue a conversation–that began in January–to address these questions. A question-and-answer session with the audience will follow their talk. The event is open to all.
Jazz at Twilight
On Sunday, April 28 at 6:00 p.m. at St. John the Baptist (Glendale), all are invited to attend and bring a friend to the next in the series of Jazz concerts. This concert features the We3 with Susanne Lansford, Nicole Pesce, and Renee Patrick. Refreshments will be available and a free will offering will be accepted.
