BISHOPS AT THE TABLE
Last week, I attended my first House of Bishops meeting at the Kanuga conference center in North Carolina. It was a fascinating week of being embraced by new colleagues, and spending time together in prayer, song, learning, and discernment.

Task Force Continues Church’s Ongoing Conversation
[ENS] The latest chapter in The Episcopal Church’s more than 50-year-old conversation about the full inclusion of LGBTQ people in the life of the church began this week with the goal of seeking “a lasting path forward for mutual flourishing” of those Episcopalians who disagree about the church’s stance on same-sex marriage. Leading for Discipleship
[ECF] Looking at the state of American Christendom, Brian McLaren asked, “Are we a club for the elite who pretend to have arrived or a school for disciples on the way?” The fact is, widespread complacency marks the Episcopal culture, sometimes causing it to resemble a club, a resting place, a destination.
