CYBERSECURITY AFFECTS EVERYONE

Canon Nicole A. Krug
Diocesan Disaster Coordinator
You sit down at your computer and open your e-mail program. As the mail loads, you see one with your Rector/Vicar/Bishop’s name in the “from” field and in the body of the e-mail is a plea that says they are helping a cancer patient and need you to buy some gift cards (possibly iTunes, Google Play or Amazon) for them to help lift the patient’s spirit. Once purchased, they ask you to scratch off the pin number on the back and send that and the gift card number to them. Sound familiar? If so, you’re not alone.

[ECF] “We need to bring in families with young children.” Every struggling church recites this mantra. It’s no surprise. They are shrinking and graying and face a painful choice, change or die. Unfortunately, it is not as simple as attracting a single demographic. Read more.

Endicott Peabody Feast Day

St. Paul’s (Tombstone) will be hosting a big celebration for Endicott Peabody Feast Day on Sunday, November 17 with service at 10:30 a.m. Church and town tours will be available after the service. Peabody was the young seminarian who raised the funds from Tombstone mine owners and miners, store owners, and gamblers like Wyatt Earp and his friends to build St. Paul’s in 1882. If you are planning to attend the festivities, please RSVP by calling the church office at (520) 457-8134 so the church can plan.
