LEVEL WITH ME JESUS
Most of use are familiar with the “Sermon on the Mount” (Matthew 5-7) when Jesus goes up to the mountain top and teaches his disciples, beginning with a series of sayings which have become known as the”Beatitudes,” (Matthew 5:1-11), one of the best loved passages of the New Testament. What is not so well-known is that Jesus also gives a “Sermon on the Plain” (Luke 6:20-49), which happens to be our Gospel passage for this coming Sunday.
