Dear friends of St. Stephen’s,
With a heavy heart I write to let you know that Maryhelen Henthorn of our church died on Tuesday night August 22nd in Tucson at the hospital. She had just been placed on hospice Monday. Maryhelen had been a member of St. Stephen’s about 20 years ago and just returned to St. Stephen’s this past spring where she jumped into helping with our hospitality on Sunday mornings with decorations and delicious food preparation. This turn of events was unexpected and we will miss her energy and creativity and warm heart. A memorial service will be held several weeks from now. Please keep her husband Duane and son Philip in your prayers as they mourn.

Into your hands, O merciful Savior, we commend your servant Maryhelen. Acknowledge, we humbly beseech you, a sheep of your own fold, a lamb of your own flock. Receive her into the arms of your mercy, in to the blessed rest of everlasting peace, and into the glorious company of the saints in light. Amen.
