Dear St. Stephen’s Family,

Mike Gilman our music director spoke with me the last couple of days and asked me to let you know that his partner, Maurice, is very ill with something affecting his lungs.  He has been tested for Covid-19 and they are awaiting results which could take several days.  Both are at home in Tucson and welcome your prayers for healing, comfort, strength, and reassurances.  At this time there is not much we can do, but wait to see how this goes.  Mike’s email is divineorgan@gmail.com if you would like to send him your kind thoughts for him and Maurice.

“O God of heavenly powers, by the might of your command you drive away from our bodies all sickness and all infirmity:  Be present in your goodness with your servant Maurice that his weakness may be banished and his strength restored and that his health being renewed, he may bless your holy Name, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.”  (BCP  p. 458)

Also for some of you who have been long time members at St. Stephen’s, I was informed this week that Mr. Charles Weeks passed away last Monday April 13th at home.  He was interred at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Sierra Vista.   He and his wife attended St. Stephen’s a short while before his wife became ill and passed away 15 years ago.

“Give rest, O Christ, to thy servant Charles with the Saints, where sorrow and pain are no more, neither sighing, but life everlasting. Amen.”  (BCP  p.483)

Peace,
Allison+
